Gesa Credit Union — EV Charging & Transformer Design Basis
Location: Multiple Locations, Washington
Client: Resound Energy & Gesa
Location: Multiple locations across Washington
Project Type: EV Charging & Transformer/Metering Design Basis
PE Stamp: WA PE 55998 • OR PE 108239PE
Project Overview
Gesa Credit Union needed a repeatable EV charging and transformer design basis that could be applied across multiple branches with different utilities. Each site required clear one-lines, transformer details, and metering arrangements suitable for plan review and utility coordination.
Engineering Approach
PNW Electrical Engineering developed a standardized template using BTC Gen4 chargers, the MS-XFR-26 transformer, and a primary-side metering cabinet (MS-PRI MTR-DF). This approach streamlined design and review across multiple sites.
Key Technical Highlights
- Multi-utility coordination and consistent design language.
- Standardized equipment across branches (BTC Gen4, MS-XFR-26, MS-PRI MTR-DF).
- PE-stamped one-lines tailored for utility and AHJ reviewers.
- Design ready for future expansion at additional branches.
Deliverables
- PE-stamped preliminary and final design packages.
- One-line diagrams.
- Equipment cut sheets.
- Conductor and feeder schedules.
- Voltage-drop and load evaluation documentation.
